Estate Agent
Helping homeowners across the Blackdown Hills and Mid-Devon move with confidence
Moving home is personal
The experience of selling your home should be too
I’m Paul Furner, a Property Specialist with more than 25 years experience across estate agency and senior housebuilder roles. From helping homeowners move locally to supporting developers across the South West, I’ve spent my career helping people navigate important property decisions with confidence.
I understand that selling your home is about far more than bricks and mortar. Whether you’re moving for family, work, lifestyle or simply a new chapter in life, it’s a significant decision that deserves time, attention and the right advice.
When you choose to work with me, you’ll deal directly with me throughout the process. No handovers, no call centres and no feeling like just another instruction. Instead, I’ll take the time to understand what’s important to you and provide honest guidance, clear communication and support from valuation through to completion.
Experience that helps you make better property decisions.
Over the years, I’ve seen the property market from a number of different perspectives. My background spans both traditional estate agency and senior roles within the housebuilding industry, giving me a broader understanding of what motivates buyers and what helps homes stand out.
That experience isn’t about impressive job titles. It’s about helping you make informed decisions with confidence. From pricing and presentation through to negotiation and managing expectations, my role is to guide you through the process and help you achieve the best possible outcome.
No two moves are ever the same, which is why I believe advice should never be one-size-fits-all.
Why choose me to sell your home?
Choosing who to trust with the sale of your home matters.
Many people tell me they value having one experienced point of contact throughout their move. Someone
who listens, responds when they say they will and takes the time to explain the options available rather
than simply telling them what they want to hear.
I pride myself on being approachable, straightforward and professional. I’ll always be honest with you, even
when the conversations are difficult, because good advice isn’t always about saying yes – it’s about helping
you make the right decisions at the right time.
Why people choose to live in the Blackdown Hills and Mid-Devon.
The Blackdown Hills and Mid-Devon offer a wonderful balance of countryside, community and connectivity.
From picturesque villages and rolling landscapes to thriving market towns and excellent access to Exeter
and the wider South West, it’s easy to understand why so many people choose to call this area home.
The Blackdown Hills are recognised as a National Landscape, formerly designated as an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty, reflecting the area’s distinctive character, natural beauty and rich heritage.
Combined with Mid-Devon’s welcoming communities and excellent quality of life, the region appeals to
families, professionals, downsizers and those seeking a different pace of life.
For many families, education also plays an important part in their decision-making. The area’s strong local
schools are a significant draw, with Uffculme School’s Outstanding Ofsted rating helping to make the
surrounding villages particularly sought after.
Importantly, rural living doesn’t mean sacrificing connectivity. Tiverton Parkway provides fast rail services to
London Paddington, making the area increasingly attractive to those seeking the best of both worlds: space
and countryside on the doorstep, with straightforward access to the capital when needed.
Whether you’re already part of the local community or planning your next move into the area,
understanding what makes these locations special is an important part of presenting your home to
prospective buyers. Having lived and worked in the South West for many years, I appreciate the lifestyle
these areas offer and the factors that attract people to them. It’s local knowledge that can help tell the story
of not just the property you’re selling, but the life that comes with it.
